The purpose of the USA Softball National Umpire School is to develop each student's individual talents and skills as an umpire. Each school is run by a team of no less than three National Umpire Staff members.
The National Umpire School be held on January 29 and 30, at the Maidu Recreation Center. 1550 Maidu Dr, Roseville, CA 95661. and the cost is $95. NUS check-in on Saturday will start at 7:00. Instruction will start at 8:00 am on both days and at 5:00 pm on Saturday and 2:45 pm on Sunday. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
NUS Instructional Staff: Randy Sprouse, Deputy Director - Eastern Territory, Geri Magwire, Deputy Director - Western Territory, John Orlowski, Region 7 UIC, and Chuck Louie Region 10 UIC.
Best Western Orchid Suite, 130 N Sunrise Blvd, Roseville, CA 95661, ll be the host hotel and is 2 miles from the Maidu Recreation Center. The rate starts at $125 per night. Please use the Best Western Orchid Suite NUS reservation link to reserve your room.
Uniform will be the USA Softball powder umpire shirt, USA Softball Hat, and either gray or navy pants.
Equipment will be for sale on site, along with the opportunity to purchase in advance. More information regarding advance purchase will be coming, Monday, November 15.
Things to do before attending camp: 1) Complete your 2022 USA umpire registration and background check, and 2) Complete your annual SafeSport training.
